Whitby Fish & Ships Festival 2025

Bradford Faith Trail
Bradford Faith Trail offers a unique opportunity to discover a little bit about Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Christian (Roman Catholic and Church of England) faith buildings. About the faiths within them and how they link into Bradford’s local community culture and faith heritage.
You can visit as many places of worship as you like – each place of worship will be open for set times and you will be shown around by experienced guides who are there to answer your questions, and to make your visit more informative and enjoyable.
The Trail begins at St. Peter’s RC Church at the top of Leeds Road and works its way down Leeds Road, stopping at the Abu Bakar Masjid, the Shree Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple and the Guru Gobind Singh Ji Gurdwara, where everybody enjoys a langar (vegetarian lunch). It finishes with a tour of Bradford Cathedral and refreshments.

Expect a buzzing atmosphere, as families and friends gather to cheer on the racers and enjoy the spectacle.
Beyond the racing, the day is packed with entertainment, including live music during the lunch break and a fantastic selection of local food and drink from nearby venues. A special celebrity guest will be making an appearance, and fans can meet Sir Sidney Cartalot, the event’s beloved champion racer. Best of all, it’s completely free to watch! With security fencing lining the course for safety, all you need to do is turn up, find a great viewing spot, and enjoy an unforgettable day of soapbox action.

Haworth 1940s Weekend

Burnby Hall Tulip Festival 2025
The annual Tulip Festival at Burnby Hall Gardens, Pocklington is always a very popular event and provides a colourful and vibrant beginning to the new season.
Whilst best known for our impressive National Collection of over one hundred varieties of Hardy Water Lily, which bloom on the two ornamental lakes in the summer, the Tulip Festival attracts many thousands of visitors to Pocklington’s unique Gardens in the spring.
The Gardens are seven times consecutive winners of the prestigious Yorkshire in Bloom Gold Award, and a great deal of care and attention is given to ensuring that the bulbs are planted to create some lovely displays, with the underplanting of the tulips being developed in several locations.
This year, there is a cascade of colours throughout the Gardens, featuring over 18,000 tulips, with over 130 varieties, which can be seen formally displayed in tubs throughout the Gardens and in the main flower beds across the site.
