Each Spring, York hosts one of the largest vintage funfairs seen in North Yorkshire, and a Food Festival which showcases a range of artisan products.

Malton Food Lovers Festival
Malton had been dubbed Yorkshire’s food capital. Which is exactly what makes it the ideal place for a food festival!
Twice a year, you’ll find over 120 stalls and street food vendors set up, ready to dish out delicious food and ingredients. As well as all the stalls, there is a vast range of workshops and demonstrations taking place.
And while you tuck in, you can also enjoy the live entertainment, festival bar plus many family fun activities.

The first of two events organised by Harrogate Food Festival kicks off in June, with a second event in September. Harrogate Food Festival is a family friendly celebration of international influence and local talent.

Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival
The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival is a huge celebration of local and national food. Over the two-day event this huge food festival shares cookery stages, live music from local artists plus over 250 exhibitors selling artisan produce, beauty, crafts, fashion and more.
Past celebrity chefs include The Hairy Bikers, James Martin and more! They showcase their skills alongside many other fantastic workshops and masterclasses. There is also a vintage funfair, craft workshops and of course, plenty of delicious street food!

York Food Festival
York Food Festival runs events throughout the year celebrating local and regional food and drink, with the main 10-day festival held at the end of September. It is a not-for-profit organisation and any money generated from ticket sales goes back into the festival to improve it year after year!
The festival aims to promote local food producers, independent restaurants, and retailers in York, and provide educational and fun workshops and cookery demonstrations to encourage people to eat healthy, homemade, and locally sourced food.

The Great British Food Festival returns to Harewood House in Leeds each year, bringing a blend of tasty street food and artisan local businesses to the lawns surrounding the famous house.
During your visit you can roam around the grounds and gardens of the Harewood estate as well as the fair. Your ticket includes free car-parking, and entry to the Bird Garden and Farm Experience.

I would love to sample all 15 of these food festivals in Yorkshire! I’m especially interested in the chocolate and rhubarb festivals as I love both.
The chocolate festival is definitely my all-time favourite food festival! we had so much fun exploring the stalls and following the chocolate trail! I definitely recommend it!

Haha that’s true, you definitely won’t go hungry! There are so many great food festivals in Yorkshire! Summer is definitely the season for them! I’m not sure the rest of the year has the weather for them since many are held outside!
