Will you go out with me?

Sunday 29th September marks National GetOutside Day, an initiative lead by Ordnance Survey. The initiative is designed to encourage people to get outside and enjoy outdoor activities for the day. Whether it is going for a walk, a picnic, a run, a bike ride or watersports, there are loads of things you can do to GetOutside and enjoy all the natural beauty the United Kingdom has to offer.

You can choose to sign up and take part in your own activities with friends or family, or you can sign up to one of the regional events taking place in your local area. You even have the option to set up your own event if you want to do so.

To get you started on your GetOutside adventure, once you’ve signed up you can download the OS Maps app and get a free 1-month subscription to help you plan your day. There are also Facebook groups for each regional team so you can see what other people in your area have planned.

Visit the GetOutside website to sign up today and start making your plans for 29th September. Getting outside is important to the Get Lost team and we are proud to be part of #TeamNorth! What do you have planned this National GetOutside day?

  1. Oooh you don’t realize how lucky we are to have OS maps in the UK, until you move to a country that has less good maps. That free month is fantastic!

I hope you have a brilliant day out and about! 🙂
